The second conditional describes imagined situations in the present or future. Use if + past simple, followed by would + base verb.
If I had more time, I would learn another language.
The past form marks an unreal situation; it does not refer to past time. We often use “were” with all subjects: If I were you, I would practise every day.
Now make it personal. Imagine somewhere you would visit, a skill you would learn, or a person you would meet. What would you do if you had the chance?
